The location was magnificent, close enough to stop and many stores including cvs, stop & shop, canton shops, and the simsbury performing arts center. Also, it was 15 mins drive from Penwood State Park. We had a continental breakfast, the food was APPETISING.
The room was smelly.

Simsbury Inn's succotash stole the show-definitely worth the upcharge! Plus, the jacuzzi was actually hot, a rarity! The festive atmosphere and cozy common areas made for a good escape.
We stayed one night, and while the facilities could use a lick of paint, everything still sparkled with character.

The hotel was a nice escape from the usual chain spots. We loved the spacious, clean rooms and enjoyed relaxing at the bar. We visited Bounce Town for some fun with the kids and took a nature walk along the Farmington River. The shuttle service was helpful, though shops were a bit far.
We were surprised to find only 1 bed in the 2 room suite, a bit cramped for us but didn't ruin our stay.
